This blog is mostly devoted to vidya and stuff that makes me cackle like a goddamn lunatic.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Here’s a weird thing about stories: there’s a correlation between the quality of a story and the amount ofunnecessary homosexuality in it. Great stories don’t want the strangeness of a relationship to take focus away from the story itself. Good stories have editors who don’t want to offend anyone they don’t have to. Mediocre stories put in a bi- or homosexual character or two because they can. And bad stories have gay sex out the wazoo because they care more about representing ‘the oppressed’ then writing something entertaining.
Seriously. First Kate Leth makes a comic illustrating that she doesn’t make her comics have content, now David Willis points out how all his protagonists* are totally unique sexual orient minorities (undefinably queer 4 lyfe). Mods, at this rate, you’ll be out of a job!
*Excluding not-appearing-in-this-comic blackwoman Lucy. Who has her own special closet she stays in until Willis wants to talk about sexism or racism again.
I’d just like to point out that the Strawpacked comic immediately after this one is about Lucy dealing with sexism in the Transformers fandom. Can shittywebcomics predict the future or is David Willis a predictable hack who can be consistently relied upon to use his main black female character to show those dirty sexists/racists (aka people who said something he didn’t like on Tumblr) what for?
