This blog is mostly devoted to vidya and stuff that makes me cackle like a goddamn lunatic.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
I had to see it for myself. They really are out of their fucking minds.
This is sort of the thing they’ve been dancing around but unable to put into words because it would sound utter batshit, but now they are actually trying to say it and get away with it. Suggesting that you need consent from your drawings in how you draw them.
Yeah, I know. It’s not really asking them. It’s if you did ask them in real life. Except it makes no difference since they basically exist in your head only, so If you did ask her if she’s fine being drawn with five dicks going up her ass she would say “SUUURE!”
You know, because she’s your character, from you. SHE’S NOT A REAL PERSON!
This also breaks down a fundamental element of writing or art. That characters really do exist as cogs in a larger piece. Supporting characters and even the main character are elements someone uses to tale a story or make a picture or whatever piece of art someone is trying to create. Just because they look like people doesn’t mean you have to care for them any more than the drawings of any other props or scenery you have.
Trying to be respectful to the feelings of a fictional character is like trying to be respectful to the feelings of the gears in a clock. If you’re move worried about that, your clock cannot run correctly.
MOD 1: “Consent” is something feminists rally around with maximum intensity.
Because it’s something they can withdraw retroactively.
