I had a similar experience, but with more with anime/mangas and video games.

It’s a little surprising how many of them draw art/write fics of shows/games that they have never even bothered watching. I mean I understand merely reblogging the art because shit’s hot, but that’s not what they were doing. Funny enough the more popular shows and games like Bleach and FFVII are the ones that get a lot of those types.
